Beginning October 22, 2026, Disney Cruise Line is removing the prix-fixe dinner menu at its adults-only Palo restaurants fleetwide. The email said: "Beginning on October 22, 2026, these restaurants will transition away from the prix-fixe dinner menu to a selection of our Guest’s favorite items." Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria will now operate solely with à la carte pricing.

Loyalty members receive $55 credit for à la carte dining

Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members will see their long-standing complimentary meal benefit converted into a $55 per person credit. This credit, which matches the former cost of the prix-fixe menu, can be used toward eligible à la carte dinner items. Members and any guests staying in the same stateroom are each eligible for the credit once per sailing.

How the change works and what guests need to know

Guests are responsible for beverage charges, gratuities, and any amount exceeding the $55 credit. If selections exceed the allotment, the guest pays the excess. Modifications to existing Palo reservations must be made online via the 'My Reservations' section of the Disney Cruise Line website. These changes can only be made up to three days before the sailing date.

Brunch remains excluded despite past flexibility

The benefit is explicitly limited to dinner. The notification email stated that brunch is not part of the offer. This clarifies a past practice where some restaurant managers occasionally allowed the benefit to be used for brunch at their discretion. No changes were announced for the brunch menu or the Prima Notte event.

Rollout timeline varies by ship

The transition begins on October 22, 2026, and rolls out across the fleet over several days. The schedule for each ship is as follows:

Ship(s)Transition Date
Disney WonderOctober 22, 2026
Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, Disney WishOctober 23, 2026
Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, Disney DestinyOctober 24, 2026
Disney AdventureOctober 26, 2026

Eligible Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club members are receiving SeaMail notifications about the updates for their upcoming voyages. The change has drawn mixed reactions from guests. One guest commented on Facebook: "I don’t care for the prix fix, as it is too restrictive. Lucked out on this one!" The prix-fixe menu previously offered a limited choice of two appetizers, two salads, four entrees, and two desserts. À la carte prices in the restaurants currently range from $6 for sides to $80 for a premium 28-ounce dry-aged prime Angus porterhouse. There is no indication that à la carte menu pricing will change with this transition. Every Palo restaurant offers ocean views from nearly every table due to its floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can check availability or modify existing Palo reservations through the 'My Reservations' section of the Disney Cruise Line website.
