Princess Cruises announced on October 22, 2026, that it is adding its Sanctuary Collection to five additional Royal Class ships in 2027. This expansion broadens access to the line's most exclusive amenities, which are currently available on Sun Princess and Star Princess. The rollout is the first phase of a multi-year fleet modernization program focused on elevated guest experiences.

The five ships receiving the Sanctuary Collection are Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Discovery Princess, Sky Princess, and Enchanted Princess. The concept, first introduced on newer vessels, will now be available across the Royal Class fleet. Gus Antorcha, Princess Cruises president, stated, "The Sanctuary Collection has quickly become one of the most distinctive and desirable ways to experience Princess."

Royal Princess Leads the Rollout

The Sanctuary Collection debuts on Royal Princess, starting with its 12-day South Pacific voyage departing on January 4, 2027. Bookings for these staterooms opened on October 22, 2026. Guests with existing reservations in the Reserve Collection, booked before that date, will be automatically upgraded to the Sanctuary Collection experience at no additional cost. This complimentary upgrade does not include the Princess Premier package.

The Sanctuary Collection includes luxury accommodations and a suite of premium amenities. Guests have access to a dedicated concierge, the exclusive Suite Lounge, and the private Sanctuary Club with lounge areas and personalized service. The area features a dedicated pool, upgraded lounge chairs, and shaded cabanas available for an extra charge. All Sanctuary Collection guests can also dine in the exclusive Sanctuary Restaurant, which offers destination-inspired menus.

New Ship Dates and Booking Windows

Following Royal Princess, the other four ships will introduce the Sanctuary Collection through June 2027. Each vessel has a specific booking opening date and inaugural sailing.

Premier Package and Guest Benefits

New bookings for the Sanctuary Collection will include the Princess Premier package. This is the brand's most inclusive offering, featuring unlimited premium beverages, specialty and casual dining, high-speed WiFi, gratuities, complimentary room service, and OceanNow delivery.

The expansion is designed to offer more guests a private, personalized experience with premium amenities. Antorcha described it as providing the privacy and service of an intimate luxury resort while retaining the destinations, entertainment, and choices of a larger Princess cruise. The collection also offers priority access, curated in-room amenities, and tailored daily programming.

It has not been confirmed whether similar complimentary upgrade policies will apply to the other four ships. The line has also not specified if dry dock refurbishments are required for the implementation, though work may occur during voyages prior to the availability dates. Bookings for Regal Princess open November 5, 2026, with Sanctuary Collection offerings beginning on its April 17, 2027 transatlantic sailing.
