SeaDream III to debut in July 2029
SeaDream Yacht Club will launch its first new ship in 25 years, SeaDream III, in July 2029. The 151-meter yacht will carry about 200 passengers on global itineraries spanning six continents.
SeaDream Yacht Club's first new vessel in a quarter-century, SeaDream III, will enter service in July 2029. The 151-meter ship, being built by China Merchants Cruise Shipbuilding, will accommodate approximately 200 passengers with a nearly equal number of crew.
Reservations for the yacht's initial voyages opened on September 1, 2026. Founder and owner Atle Brynestad said the ship represents the next chapter for the line, designed to carry forward the brand's DNA of personalised service and a relaxed atmosphere while expanding its global reach.
Vessel design and amenities
Passenger accommodations will be spread across five decks, featuring an expanded selection of suites, Commodore staterooms and connecting configurations. Four guest decks will offer private balconies, with larger suites providing more space for long journeys.
The design focuses on open-air living with expansive upper decks, a dedicated pool deck and multiple indoor and al fresco dining venues. Three dedicated watersports marinas will offer direct sea access. The ship will also feature expanded spa, fitness and wellness facilities.
"SeaDream has never been about size for its own sake," Brynestad added. "Our focus is creating fantastic days and unforgettable experiences for every guest."
Inaugural Asia-Pacific voyages
The maiden voyage is a 27-night sailing from Hong Kong to Tokyo, departing July 10, 2029. It will visit 19 ports across Japan and South Korea, including an overnight at Ishigaki and access to Yakushima's UNESCO-listed cedar forests. A three-night naming celebration in Tokyo is part of the voyage.
The inaugural season continues with voyages exploring Japan and South Korea. This includes four 14-night round-trip voyages from Tokyo combining northern and western Japan with South Korea, followed by a 15-night voyage from Tokyo to Hong Kong through Japan's southern islands.
Ports of call will include Hakodate, Aomori, Akita, Kanazawa, Hiroshima, Kobe, Osaka, Shimizu, Tagonoura, Busan, Jeju, Yakushima, Amami Oshima and Ishigaki. The yacht will then sail to Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, featuring calls in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Komodo, the Great Barrier Reef and Tasmania, culminating in a New Year's celebration in Sydney.
Global deployment and major itineraries
In its first two years, SeaDream III will visit six continents, 73 countries and 364 ports. Following its Asia-Pacific season, the yacht will sail west to India, the Arabian Peninsula and the Mediterranean before arriving in London.
It will then explore the British Isles, the Baltic, coastal Norway, Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland. Arctic operations include a 10-night voyage from Longyearbyen to Reykjavík in July 2030, featuring Greenland's Scoresby Sund and Iceland's fjords.

Great Lakes operations begin with a 10-night voyage from Montreal to Milwaukee in August 2030. This itinerary will navigate through eight locks and five inland seas via the St. Lawrence Seaway and Welland Canal. Subsequent voyages will include calls in Montreal, Chicago, Toronto and Detroit, featuring Georgian Bay, Lake Superior, the Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County and the St. Lawrence.
The yacht will then sail the American East Coast to West Palm Beach before operating voyages in the Caribbean, Central America, Colombia's Caribbean coast and Panama.
World circumnavigation programme
SeaDream III will operate a 181-night world cruise from January 5 to July 5, 2031. The circumnavigation departs from West Palm Beach and concludes in London, transiting both the Panama and Suez Canals.
The voyage will visit more than 40 countries across three oceans. Highlights include Easter Island, Pitcairn Island and access to Machu Picchu via Callao, Peru. The route proceeds through the South Pacific to French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu before continuing to Australia, Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
The final segments will travel through Sri Lanka, the Maldives, India, the Arabian Peninsula, Egypt and Jordan before transiting the Suez Canal. The journey concludes with sailings throughout the Mediterranean and along Europe's Atlantic coast.
