Holland America Line has opened bookings for its 2028 Canada and New England cruise season. The May-to-October season will feature the post-Evolution Zuiderdam making its regional debut alongside Volendam on voyages ranging from seven to 14 days.

The cruise line states this season will feature more calls to Montréal than any other cruise line. Bookings opened on October 1, 2026. Paul Grigsby, vice president of revenue planning and deployment for Holland America Line, noted the strategic importance of the market. The season shows the line's investment following its Evolution transformation, described as its largest fleet investment in 153 years.

Zuiderdam introduces new accommodations and dining

The upgraded Zuiderdam will be the second of six ships to receive the Evolution overhaul. It marks its Canada and New England debut with new features previously exclusive to newer Pinnacle-class ships.

Additions include purpose-built Solo Verandah staterooms and expansive new Bridgeview Suites with panoramic forward-facing views. The ship will also introduce the Grand Dutch Café, a counter-service venue offering Dutch snacks, breakfast items, and specialty coffee.

Volendam operates majority of longer itineraries

Volendam will sail most of the longer 9-, 10-, 11-, and 14-day itineraries. A 14-day sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Montréal on May 13, 2028, kicks off the season. Longer Collectors' Voyages are also available.
