Disney Believe will set sail on its maiden voyage from Port Everglades on December 18, 2027. The ship is the fourth in Disney Cruise Line's Wish class and the ninth vessel in its fleet. Senior Vice President Tracy Wilson announced the homeport and debut date during a livestream event on October 7, 2026. Disney Believe will then operate regular four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean from the Fort Lauderdale port.

Onboard Experiences and New Venues Detailed

New themed entertainment and dining venues define the Disney Believe. The ship's Grand Hall is centered on Moana, featuring a bronze statue of the character with Pua and Heihei. A chandelier conceals the Heart of Te Fiti. The overarching theme for the vessel is 'promise and possibility.'

The Walt Disney Theatre will host three major stage shows. The headline offering is the first-ever live stage adaptation of Encanto. Lin-Manuel Miranda confirmed the exclusive production will feature his songs from the 2021 film, with Colombian-inspired costuming and traditional dance. Two other shows, Tangled: The Musical and Disney Seas the Adventure, will also be presented.

A suite of new restaurants and lounges draws inspiration from various Disney stories. The venues include Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast, Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, and Big Hero Sips. New lounges are the Snow White-themed Wishing Well, The Little Mermaid-inspired Sea Notes, the observatory-themed Skygazers pub, and the Zootopia-based Gazelle entertainment hub.

Staterooms feature new artwork and themes. Concierge guests can choose Neverland-themed rooms or Toy Story oceanview rooms. Two new royal suites and the exclusive, two-story Believe Tower Suite, which sleeps eight, offer high-end accommodations.

Construction Milestones and Booking Timeline

The keel for Disney Believe was laid at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, in September 2026. A custom Tinker Bell coin was placed beneath it during the ceremony. The first gigablock of the ship was floated out that same month.

Bookings for the ship's inaugural season open to the general public on October 19, 2026. Tracy Wilson expressed excitement for the upcoming offerings. "I hope you’re ready to explore unique venues, dazzling family entertainment, and world-class dining coming with the Disney Believe," she said.

Itineraries and Fleet Context

Following its December debut, Disney Believe will sail regular four- and five-night itineraries to The Bahamas and the Caribbean from Port Everglades. This continues Disney Cruise Line's year-round operations from Fort Lauderdale, which began in November 2023 with the Disney Dream. Another Wish-class ship, the Disney Destiny, also sails from the same port.

The ship is the same size and shape as its sister ships, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Disney's fleet expansion continues with a fifth Wish-class ship planned for Japan in 2029 and a new class of smaller vessels launching the same year. Bookings for Disney Believe open on October 19, 2026.
