Carnival Cruise Line recently celebrated the graduation of local high school students from its Fun-ternship Program in Long Beach, Baltimore, and Norfolk.

The graduation ceremony took place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, and marked the end of the eight-week program. The students, known as the "Funterns," received a certificate of completion and joined the Carnival Cruise Line team onboard for a celebratory lunch.

The Fun-ternship Program is part of Carnival Cruise Line's ongoing investment in the communities, aimed at building pathways into the growing cruise and hospitality industry for local youth. The program provides high school students with hands-on experience in cruise terminal operations at six U.S. homeports.

Throughout the eight-week program, students gained a behind-the-scenes look at how Carnival's cruise operations run at the Port of Long Beach. They also built real-world skills and explored careers in travel and hospitality.
