Princess Cruises 2028-2029 Americas Program Returns to Amazon
Princess Cruises has unveiled its largest Americas season for 2028-2029, featuring over 250 departures and a return to Amazon River sailings for the first time since 2014.

Princess Cruises will return to the Amazon River for the first time since 2014 with itineraries in its 2028-2029 Americas season. The program, announced on October 13, 2026, features more than 250 cruise ship departures across regions including Antarctica, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Canada and New England, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Pacific Coast.
Chief Commercial Officer Jim Berra said the season highlights the continent's diversity. "There is an incredible diversity found across the Americas, and our 2028-2029 season gives guests an extraordinary range of ways to experience it."
Highlight: Return to the Amazon
Scenic cruising along the Amazon River returns with a port call in Santarém, Brazil, on select 2028-2029 South America voyages. The last time Princess Cruises sailed the Amazon was in 2014 aboard Pacific Princess. The new Circle South America itinerary aboard Coral Princess combines Antarctica, scenic cruising on the Amazon River, a call at Santarém, and a transit through the historic Panama Canal locks.
The South America and Antarctica program includes 13 departures across 11 itineraries aboard Majestic Princess and Coral Princess. These voyages visit 38 destinations in 16 countries. Signature experiences include 17-day Antarctica and Patagonia voyages and 15-day Cape Horn and Glaciers of Patagonia sailings, departing from Buenos Aires.
Signature Voyages and Private Islands
A standout itinerary is a new 64-day Circle South America sailing. Coral Princess debuts this voyage, which circumnavigates South America and combines Antarctica, the Amazon River, and the Panama Canal.
In the Caribbean, Princess will visit three new private island paradises from Carnival Corporation: Celebration Key in The Bahamas, Isla Tropicale in Roatán, Honduras, and RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas. The Caribbean accounts for the largest share of the season, with 141 departures on 49 itineraries lasting five to 17 days, visiting 24 destinations across 20 islands. Embarkation ports include Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, San Juan, New York, and Barbados.
Regional Details and Early Booking
The season offers extensive regional voyages. Hawaii, Mexico, Canada & New England, and Panama Canal itineraries provide extended stays and overnight visits. An early-booking offer running through February 16, 2027, includes up to $300 in instant savings and $100 deposits.
