Royal Caribbean has officially removed the preposition 'at' from the name of its private Bahamian destination, now called Perfect Day CocoCay.
Royal Caribbean has officially changed the name of its private Bahamian destination from Perfect Day at CocoCay to Perfect Day CocoCay. The cruise line announced the stylistic change on August 27, 2026, with a video posted on its social media channels.
The video, which had garnered nearly 60,000 views on Facebook and over 2,200 likes on Instagram shortly after posting, features a performer in a pirate costume. Each time she says "Welcome to a Perfect Day at CocoCay!" the word "at"is bleeped out with a ship's horn sound and her mouth is covered with an ice cream cone emoji."Welcome to Perfect Day CocoCay!" to a winning chime. The video's caption stated, "Say goodbye to the 'at' in Perfect Day at CocoCay - from now on, it's Perfect Day CocoCay."The removal of the preposition extends beyond marketing."Ultimate Destinations by Royal Caribbean." For example, its beach club experiences follow the format "Royal Beach Club: [Location],"such as Royal Beach Club: Paradise Island in the Bahamas and Royal Beach Club: Santorini in Greece."Perfect Day Mexico." This naming convention would have created a second "Perfect Day"location, suggesting Royal Caribbean may develop future destinations under this brand theme."Perfect Day" or "Royal Beach Club" branding; it is described as an "Exclusive Destination."
